Well, we successfully changed servers! w00t w00t! And you'll start noticing that we've included those "dread" advertisments that we promised were coming. But hey, they're not so bad really. And if you click on any of those suckers you're helping to support this site so if you see something that even remotely interests you, please click on it and check it out! We need all the help we can get. This is, after all, a labor of love! Now on to the warrant news...
Check out the Warrant Pro Live DVD from the 1991 Cherry Pie Tour, "Bootleg From The Bayou". $12 USD includes shipping. If you are interested click on the paypal link below or copy and paste it into your browser.

New tour dates have been listed in the tourdates section. In other news, our server change will be effective in the next few days. Hopefully everything goes smoothly but if we disappear for a while you know why! Wish us luck!
December 2004
Downboys.com is moving to a new server and, unfortunatly this means the page will be incorporating some banner ads. Unless of course someone wants to volunteer the cash for a non-banner ad server, we're all just going to have to deal. Sorry folks, but it's just gotta be. ;)
August 2004
Yeah, I finally got around to putting up the new promo pic, and adding Steven to the front page. Long overdue but hey its done! The band is currently out touring, so go check them out!
Finally, I'm selling off a bunch of memorbilia. If you're intersted in any of this stuff, make me an offer! Be sure to email me at kimmie@scorerocks.com though! Thanks!
March 2004
Okay so this is the latest from the Warrant camp...Hollywood, CA (March 17th 2004) - Multi platinum recording artist Warrant is proud to announce for the first time in 10 years... Erik, Jerry, Joey and Steven the original “Down Boys” back together again.
It didn’t take “VH1’s Bands Reunited” to bring back original drummer Steven Sweet and lead guitarist Joey Allen. This surprising announcement comes on the heels of the recent addition of dynamic front man Jaime St. James (of Black n Blue fame).
The members of Warrant are charged up and looking forward to an exciting future that is sure to include touring and recording. Warrant fans will be thrilled hearing songs from the first three records, DRFSR, Cherry Pie & Dog Eat Dog . Songs that have not been heard live in 10 years.
With Steven Sweet’s return, Warrant has bid farewell to their friend and Brother Mike (The Sack) Fasano. The band wishes him nothing but the best of happiness and success in the future.
Not sure if the following is consider "news" or not but I suppose I have to post it here anyway ;) On April 13th, 2004, Sony Legacy will release Cherry Pie and DRFSR REMASTERED. The cool part is that DFSR will include demos "Only A Man" and "All Night Long" and the Cherry Pie remaster will contain "The Power" (from the Gladiator soundtrack) and "Game Of War" (demo). My only hope is that the guys get a decent cut out of this and that Sony isn't just using this as a means to make money off of Warrant and Warrant fans?!?!In other news, it has been requested that I post Jani Lane's tour dates. I wasn't going to do this since, this is a Warrant website and Jani is no longer in Warrant (in other words, if I were to keep tabs on every single former member of Warrant I'd have no time to take a pee.) But since there has been enough of a demand, I'll see what I can dig up.
February 2004
With a brand spankin' new website, Erik Turner and Jerry Dixon have rounded up Warrant's original guitarist Joey "Allen" Cagle, former guitarist Mike Fasano (though some are wondering why not original drummer Steve Sweet) and former Black and Blue front man Jaime St. James at the mic - check out www.warrantweb.net.Also, pick up the March '04 issue of Guitar One Magazine featuring Erik and Joey.
Next, read Siren Kimmie's review with Joey Allen over at Score! Music Magazine: http://www.scorerocks.com/interviews.html
Finally Jani Lane will be playing at the Machine Shop in Flint, MI: Saturday, March 13th.
January 2004
Some rather sad news - depending on how you look at it:
This taken from the official Warrant website:(Hollywood, CA) - As of January 9, 2004, Jani Lane, front-man for the band Warrant, has left Warrant to pursue his solo projects. “This comes to us as no surprise,” states Jerry Dixon, bass player and founding member. “We always figured someday he would want to go after a solo career and today is that day.” It's been more than a decade, since Warrant erupted onto the national scene in 1989. Warrants worldwide album sales approach the ten million mark, and they have a laundry list of Top 40 hit-singles that include "Cherry Pie," "Heaven," "Down Boys," "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and "Sometimes She Cries."
The remaining members will continue to compose, play and tour. “We wish him the very best in all aspects of his life,” says Erik Turner the founding member of Warrant. “The band is very excited about new possibilities and some fresh blood. Maybe even a new record.”
“We have always wanted to get back to what got us here in the first place,” explains Dixon. “That includes putting the moves back on stage, playing the old songs people beg us to play and putting some much needed TLC back into the band. We are now looking for a new party-host, we want someone that can enhance what Warrant already is, not change it. Again we wish Jani Lane all the best and look forward with much excitement of a new and improved Warrant in 2004.”
December 2003
Okay a few things to report this month. First, just in time for the holidays, the Christmas CD ("We Wish You A Hairy Christmas") that we've been waiting to see for what, 2 years? -- Is now available! Right now the only place I know of that you can pick it up is Amazon.com.Jani is about to embark on a tour of Europe in support of Back Down To One.
November, 2003
Yes, I'm alive. Thanks for the concern! Personal trauma got in the way of my responsibility to my lovely, faithful readers. My mail was bouncing, so if you attempted to send me an email and I didn't respond, I probably didn't get it. My sincere apologies!!! I'm back up and running again. xoxo Kimmie
July 15, 2003
First, thanks to those of you that have been writing in love to me! I didn't post the rant to get reinforcement, but hey, I appreciate all the kind words! The photos page has some new photos and I've linked in a new interview by Chad with Erik Turner.
Speaking of Erik Turner, you might not have been aware that he recently played guitar for some shows with Suki Jones (Robby Crane, Jizzy Pearl, Keri Kelli, Steven Adler).
July 7, 2003
This just in: Kevan Phares is replacing Mike Fasano on drums. More information to come, but in the meantime, the new promo pic can be found on the main page.
July 2003
And a HAPPY 4th OF JULY to you too!You know, every once in a while I get an email bitching that I need to update this site. I realize that by virtue of producing a website, I have a certain responsibility to the public at large (or at least those of you kind enough to visit) to keep it up to date. I mean, I'll be the first to admit that there is nothing worse than going to a website and finding it hasn't been updated in years. However, it really aggravates the hell out of me, when I have been keeping this website going for over 7 years, scouring the depths of the Warrant world for information (Because let me tell you I don’t have people sending me this stuff freely. I have to actually dig for the crap!) and I can’t take six weeks off without receiving snotty emails telling me that I need to update. Anyway you slice it, between the first Warrant fan site created by Chris (which was integrated into this one) and Where The Down Boys Go (this site’s incarnation), Downboys.com remains the original, most informational and updated Warrant site on the net. So cut me some slack would you? It’s not like I’m getting paid or I don’t have a life/job taking up my free time. Oh and did I mention that I pay for the webhosting and domain name out of my own pocket? Funny how I've never had one of those disgruntled folks offer up some cash or a hand with the workload!
This has been a rant by Kimmie (because I can and it was fun). We now return you to your regularly scheduled Warrant programming, which includes new TOUR DATES – go check them out!
June 2003
Billy's back! Guitarist Billy Morris is back with Warrant.
April 2003
Latest murmers: Mike Fasano's contract with Warrant has been "terminated". The rumors are that Jani's current solo drummer is replacing Mike. My guess is it's the drummer from the Ohio band Cyde, however this has not been confirmed.
March 2003
Apparantly, according to Billy's website, he is no longer with Warrant. He has left to pursue further avenues with The Billy Morris Band. The rumors of Mike leaving or "being canned" have not been confirmed at this time.Happy Belated St. Patty's Day! News in the Warrant camp is light, however on the side of Jani's solo stuff, there's a bigger buzz. Lane, who has been out and about doing some solo shows has recently been signed to the UK's Z Records. They plan on releasing his "Back Down To One" CD (complete with "Exclusive European bonus tracks") on June 28th. For more check out: zrecords.simplewebhosting.co.uk/index2.html

Rumor's abound regarding a possible union between Jerry Dixon and Metallica. Though some of us hide behind guffaws and "yeah right"s, I decided to ask Erik and Jerry about this rumor directly. The response from Jerry was a chain jerking "You never know! ;)" and the response from Erik was a less cryptic "Not True." So there you have it folks!!!
September 2002
A couple more tour dates were posted, so check out the tour info for the 411. In addition, if you haven't seen them yet, the photos from the Cleveland, Ohio Hardrock show have been posted.Interested in getting Jani's solo CD? Order it here: www.warrantweb.net/janilanesolo.htm!
August 2002
Attended the Cleveland show at the Hardrock (wonderfully casual, up close and personal) -- photos will be uploaded soon. Jani's CD was for sale at the show. Also heard that he will be doing some dates around the area in October/November. In the meantime other fixes of Warrant include live shows and the following 411 that I received today from JD at Three Guys Pickin:Subject: Warrant on Chicago tv Sept 16
Hi Kimmie,
I produce a cable show in Chicago called "3 Guys Pickin," and Warrant will appear on Sept 16th.
Billy & Mike are interviewed. Warrant performs "DRFSR" from their Chicago show this year, and old video of Jani singing "Let it Rain" is shown.
We also shot 1 min videos for "Feels Good, Letter to a Friend," and "Stronger Now," since their are no videos for their songs.
The guys talk about Warrant and Brodie shows his pics from a show in 96.
"3 Guys Pickin" is the most electrifying local cable access tv show in Chicago (& also the world) featuring movie and music reviews, sports talk, celebrity interviews, skits and music videos, intentional humor, bravado and it is the ONLY home to great guitar-driven music of the 80"s and early 90's.
3GP can be viewed on CANTV, cable channel 19 (in Chicago city limits only), every Monday, at 10:30p.m.
“3 Guys Pickin” is featured on CAN TV’s web site at www.cantv.org/descrip.htm#pickin. (the only CANTV show with a photo). The official 3GP web site will be up and running very soon.
You can read the weekly “3 Guys Pickin” movie column in the Marshall U newspaper, “The Parthenon,” as well as 3GP’s weekly wrestling column for www.3strandwrestling.com.
July 2002
Addendum to July: I got a sneak peek of some of Jani's solo stuff and, not that I'm suprised, it's great. For those of you familiar with Jabberwocky, it's kind of like Jabberwocky with an edge. It rocks out harder than Jabberwocky (at least the stuff I've heard thus far). So be sure to get your hands on his 6 song sampler and then the full release: Back Down To One. -- Oh, and if you're interested, rumor has it that Ohio's own (and Score! Music favorite) Cyde is the band backing Jani up on the album.I hate it when I do that! I made edits to this page but never uploaded it to the site! So June's news is just getting to you now with July. Sorry folks! Anyway to update the Jani solo CD situation, there are quite a few rumors going around, but faithful downboys.com-er, Joe has informed me that, in discussions with Perris Records who spoke to Warrant management, the following information was gleaned:
The CD is not avaialbe yet, but a 6 song EP will be available at upcoming Warrant shows. However it will not be sold through any other outlet until the full length CD comes out.Obivously I have to verify this with Warrant management which I'll be doing presently so I'll update more as it comes in. Meanwhile get out there and see the live shows, and if you find yourself in the possession of this 6 song CD, we'd love to know what it sounds like! Drop me a line at Kimmie@downboys.com
June 2002
Apparantly Jani has all but completed his solo CD and will be shopping for a label. The band has been out and about on the road so check the tour dates section for stage near you.
May 2002
Your fearless webmistress has added some more tour dates and recently helped update warrantweb.net's history section (though at this time it hasn't been updated to reflect the changes made -including spelling errors etc., so don't blame Kimmie for that!!! -- hear that Erik? *applys gentle prodding*). While the beginnings of a new newsletter have been started, the project has yet to find its way off the ground and well hopefully see the light of day this month. Cross your fingers!
April 2002
FYI on some past Warrant members, James Kottak and Rick Steier are reviving their old band Wild Horses.Rock Fest 2002: Dokken, Ratt, Warrant, Firehouse, and L.A. Guns tour dates are still coming in so keep checking the tour dates section! Please be aware that there are other dates floating around that are currently not confirmed. I'll post them as they become official.
February/March, 2002
Happy Valentine's Day/Happy St. Patty's Day!The guys have been out and about around NE America and are settting up for their summer tour. The rumors at present are "Rock Fest 2002" with Firehouse, Ratt, Dokken and LA Guns. I'm not certain everything is completely sealed yet but it looks like that is going to be the show.
Check out this great interview with the Baltimore Sun and Jerry Dixon.
For you Joey Allen fans, I received an email from him updating on the status of his latest project. Check it out!
"...my Website has been finished and launched. My close friend Alan Schechter worked very hard to get this thing off the ground before he had to leave for Ohio to produce a movie for Warner Brothers. I would personally like to thank him for all his hard work and inspiration. This site is top-notch, utilizing current technology and a creative mind that is awesome.
Please be aware that this is a high speed site and if you are trying to view it over a dial-up connection you will be waiting long periods of time for data to upload. The HTML (dial-up) site will be completed shortly.
I plan on having my CD packaged and ready for distribution within the next few months, all of the songs have been recorded and mastered, you can download a few MP3's from the site and get a taste of all of the tunes on the CD... Cheers, Joey Allen"
January, 2002
Happy New Year! And what a way to start out the new year but with news that Jani is back in the studio working on the next Warrant album! There have been some minor updates to the site. I've added some links to guitar tabs. Yes, I said GUITAR TABS!! I know that they are scarce so I set ya up with a few links to get ya started (check out the links section). In addition I've added some more interviews to the interview section, including the ever famous "quickie questions" with Score! Music Magazine. Check that out!
I'm currently working on the newsletter as we speak. Yes I know it's long over due. I've decided to forego beauty and stick to the facts, so expect a pretty straight forward newsletter. In addition I'm working out the glitches on the EPALs list, so those of you that have not received a password yet, sit tight.
Lastly and most importantly, check out the new tour dates up on the tour dates section. Warrant is making their way through Michigan with LA Guns and Firehouse!
Thanks! Kimmie
December, 2001
Well it's the beginning of December and I have a tid bit of news for ya! I got a quick question in to Erik about the Christmas album and he informed me that the company has closed the distribution deal. They were going to release it this year, but decided to wait after September 11th, so it will be released next Christmas. Guess we have to be patient for another year!
November, 2001
Hi everyone! Sorry I've not posted anything lately, but the guys haven't been doing much, other than the tour dates here and there. There are a few things that I'd like to point out this time however, the first of which is Jani's new career and the rumors surrounding that.RUMOR: Jani is working as a chef at the Blind Lemon in Ohio.
FACT: Jani is not working as a chef, but is managing the kitchen of the Blind Lemon. What everyone has been failing to mention is that the Blind Lemon is Warrant's own Billy Morris' new club. There has been comment of Billy and Jani actually being co-owners of the club, to which I do not have confirmation, but either way, it's obviously a project that Billy and Jani are working on together in some capacity. Photos floating around of Jani and said club have been reported as false. Thus, it appears Jani, who has been touted for many years as talented in the culinary field, has decided to delve into one of his other loves (second I'm sure, only to music).
Lastly, I had been told that "A Very Hairy Christmas" (the compilation that Warrant was to be a part of that was slated for release last Christmas but didn't go forward) is supposed to be released this month??? I'm trying to locate more information and will be sure to let you know the minute I find more.
August 8, 2001
Rumor. I just received confirmation that the tour has in fact been canceled. I'm not sure if Warrant will still be doing their side gigs. I'll let ya'll know as soon as I find out.Official Press Release - August 7, 2001
POISON BASSIST SUFFERS SPINAL CORD INJURY
TOUR DATES CANCELLEDPoison's "Glam Slam Metal Jam" 22 remaining summer concert dates have been cancelled as Poison's bassist Bobby Dall was rushed by ambulance to Omaha's University Of Nebraska Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery on his back from an injury suffered while performing onstage. The operation was performed by neurosurgeon Dr. Robert Singer. Dr. Singer replaced several discs in Bobby Dall's spine and says at least six months of rehab and recovery will be necessary.
"Because of Mr. Dall's persistent weakness and severe pain, he was urgently taken to the operating room on Sunday, August 5 for an anteriorcervical diskectomy with allograft fusion and plating at C5-6 and C6- 7," says Dr. Singer, "I anticipate that Mr. Dall will have a good recovery but does need a period of up to six months to heal in a safe fashion given his vocation."
Says Poison vocalist Bret Michaels, "On behalf of Poison, I apologize to our fans and the promoters for having to cancel these dates. Bobby Dall is my best friend and at this moment our only concern is for his well-being."
Poison's tour was scheduled to run through September 2. Upon Bobby's return, the band will go into the recording studio to begin work on their next CD, featuring all new originals.
August 6, 2001
Rumor. There is a rumor going around that the rest of the Glam Slam tour has been cancelled due to Bobby D's back problems. I'm in the process of trying to get to the bottom of the rumors and find out of they are true or false. Stay tuned here for the final word! :)

Jani Lane was seen out at Billy Morris' club in Parma, Ohio (The Revolution) recently. He was there doing a "jam session" with friends and brother Eric.
April 12, 2001
Okay there is a bunch of things to report this month: First, Cleopatra Records has released a new tribute album: "A Tribute To Bon Jovi: Covered Dead Or Alive." You'll find backing music on each track from Jerry Dixon and Erik Turner, former Warrant (turned Scorpions) drummer James Kottak, lead guitarist and former Warrant keyboardist Danny Wagner. Last but not least least, "Lay Your Hands On Me," vocals by our own Jani Lane. (It's a veritable family reunion).Jani Lane had a call in interview with WHTQ 96.5 in Orlando on 3/30.
Finally, Warrant did a chat with USA Today on-line April 5th. To see the transript from this chat, check out this link: Warrant Chat Transcript. Notice that you're Webmistress' other project (Score! Music Magazine) had a question answered (nevermind the person moderating the chat though we were the strippers! -- Go check out Score! -- Pimpage done).
Oh and those of you that are on the mailing list for the Warrant E-News letter have probably noticed that the last newsletter never quite made it out. I had some big family issues that required my running off to Florida for 6 weeks. I am working on the next issue and it will be out very soon. Thanks for your patience. Okay back to work for Kimmie!

Jani and Billy did an interview Cleveland's Scene Magazine. They discussed many things, including an upcoming show and future plans ( Cleveland Scene article).
This is something kind of fun that was sent in to me by a friend (thanks Jeanne!): "I was watching Canada's MuchMusic last night, and a new video by a group called Treble Charger came on. Guess what the lead singer was wearing? A Cherry Pie tour tee!" The video is for a song called "Brand New Low".
Also for those interested, Jani did a 20 questions for Metal Sludge. The latest in Jani's world is a move back to Ohio and divorce proceedings.
Metal Edge Report: "Warrant Rocks L.A. - Warrant's rocking home town show at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, supported by BulletBoys, drew a few fellow musicians including Paul Taylor (Winger), Mike Duda (WASP), Kristy Majors (Pretty Boy Floyd), Tommy Thayer (Black 'n Blue, KISS' tour manager), and former Warrant players Rick Steier and keyboardist Scott Warren, who will head out on the road with Dio next month. Steier's pregnant wife Leslie compared expanding stomachs with Erik Turner's wife Kirsten, who's due any day. It's a boy, and he'll be named Noah James. Jani Lane was telling all in earshot--including the crowd, from the stage--that he's newly divorced (from Rowanne, mother of his daughter Madison) and available. His first wife, "Cherry Pie" girl Bobbie Brown (mother of his daughter Taylor), was among the visitors backstage. Warrant plays Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday and then treks to Texas and points east starting February 7."
JANUARY 21, 2001
Again, MORE tour dates!!! These guys just LOVE to tour! So get out there and support them! Next: Kimmie had some issues with her email program and the sending of that latest WE-News. Some of you didn't get it... and heck, some of you might not have gotten the final version. If you suspect that this is the case, let me know and I'll be happy to forward you the lastest issues of Warrant E-News in its final form! Thanks! By the way - a new face for Downboys.Com is on the way so check back again soon!
JANUARY 10, 2001
More tour dates!!! Ohio dates as well as CA dates listed. Check it out! Also, I failed to mention, for those of you that do not receive Downboys.Com's Warrant E-News, bi-monthly news letter, you might want to get in on that as well! There's been a tremendous response to it.
DECEMBER 28, 2000
Warrant has added some more dates to the Midwest/East Coast run. Check out the tour dates section for more information. In other news, the guys are kicking around the name "Verticle Smile" for the new record (some of you may recall this was almost the name of the Cherry Pie album). Erik and Kirsten have found out that they will have a baby boy this February and have picked out the name Noah James! Congrats!
DECEMBER 4, 2000
Warrant's Hawaii dates have been cancelled. The club has confirmed that these shows will NOT be taking place!
NOVEMBER 27, 2000

TOUR DATES!!! New December dates! Check out the Tour Info page for details.
Thanks to Leslie and Rick Steier who sent me an email recently with some updated information:
Thank you Kim for inviting us to check out your website. It looks great, job well done. A little update for you...Rick, myself and the rest of the KRUNK family have just returned from a tour in Germany and Japan. The band played four shows in Germany and four in Japan. All went very well, and we are hoping that something good will come of it (like perhaps a record deal). Things are looking very promissing. Like Erik and Kirsten we too are preparing for the upcoming birth of our first child. We are expecting our new one in early April.
Congratulations are in order!!!
News regarding Keri Kelli:
Keri has been over in Japan with Slash and will soon be heading on over to Europe. I spoke to Keri's publicist, Julie, who had questioned him about the recent 20 questions posted up on Metal Sludge. He indicated that he had yet to complete the questions and the responses posted were not his. I smell an imposter! It looks as if Metal Sludge received them when Keri was out of the country. At any rate, he said he will have his responses to said 20 questions to Metal Sludge this week but that they "wont be as crazy" as the ones that were posted by the imposter.
Check out the 20 questions at Metal Sludge with Warrant's very first guitarist, Josh Lewis!
NOVEMBER 22, 2000
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Warrant management informed me that the Hairy Christmas album (for which Warrant has recorded a Christmas song) will not be released until next year. I was also told that the new Warrant album we've all been waiting for will probably be released on Spitfire records sometime in the near future. Stay tuned for updates!
In addition I have an article written by Bobby Borg (author and former Warrant drummer) found exclusively here and at Score! Magazine. The article is an informative look into the music business and the internet.
NOVEMBER 1, 2000
FYI: Warrant's 11/10 tour date at the Boot Scoot, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio is being held in conjunction with Akron radio station WKDD's "Long Haul Against Hunger". The Warrant show is actually the launch of the campaign. The plan is to raise 96,000 for the Akron, Canton National Food Bank. The cost of the show is $9.00 and 6 canned, non-perishable, food items. So get out there, see your band and help feed the hunry!
Just thought I'd let ya'll know that part 2 of a 2 part interview with Jani Lane will be on Akron's WKDD 96.5 FM tomorrow morning around 7:00-7:15 a.m. on the Matt Patrick show. You can listen on line (I had a hard time finding where you can "listen" so if you can't find it check out www.wkdd.com/events.htm and click on "LISTEN").
I talked to Keith Kennedy (after noon d.j.) today and he told me that athough the stations web designer is out because his wife had a baby, I guess when he comes back the entire interview will probably be put up for your listening pleasure!
In addition: Kimmie, your webmistress, was interviewed on WKDD and given the opportunity to pimp Warrant and this site!
OCTOBER 18, 2000
New tidbits: Warrant just did a Christmas record called "Harrry Cristmas" it will be available for the Christmas seasons next year.
